I am very excited to share my very first “Artist at Work” series of lifestyle portraiture featuring local artists. Leigh Herndon, of Leigh Designs, is a fiber artist who specializes in direct dye painting, batik, and rozome. Rozome is an ancient Japanese method of kimono design. The beach is a beautiful location for a family portrait session, and Deerfield Beach is at the top of my list for family pictures on the beach.

What could be more romantic than a beautiful couple in love? Carmela and Justin chose two locations for their portrait session.
We started out at the Arboretum in Constitution Park. The Arboretum, also known as the “Tree Zoo,” is a lovely park for an on-location portrait session. Next, we headed down to the beach. Check back to see images from that location, but for now, take a look at this gorgeous couple!

I love photographing small, intimate weddings on the beach! This image, from a couple months ago, was the bride’s choice for her large wall portrait. Good choice, Amber!
