I do have a soft spot for redheads, but really, isn’t this little girl beautiful? I think she should be modeling for Ralph Lauren!
The “W” family scheduled their family beach portrait session during a recent vacation in Fort Lauderdale. Vacations are wonderful things- no work schedules to get in the way of what you really want to do, and time to relax and enjoy being together as a family. What better time for a family portrait session! To schedule your own family portrait session, call Monica @ 954-632-9598.
Many of my clients come into their ordering appointment planning on choosing one family pose for their wall portrait. Very often, though, there is more than one pose that they like and want to have. The solution? Order one or two large wall portraits, and then add on a couple of collages!
That’s what a recent client did when she was presented with these beautiful family pictures.
**Collages may be ordered in various sizes, from 11×14 and up, and in many different configurations. The two below are both 10×20′s.

This is a great idea to choose one large picture and then collage the rest. I love it. You do great work.

I am searching for a family who would be willing to model a certain look for me at the beach. If you are familiar with my work, you know that I photograph many families at the beach. 95% of these families choose to wear white and denim or white and khaki for their family portraits. Here are a couple of examples-
As great as the white/denim and white/khaki looks, I would like to help my clients expand their ideas about what looks good for a family portrait at the beach. This next family was thinking a little more outside the box, and came up with a yellow color palette-
And finally, my most original client so far- who would have thought “blues and browns” for a beach portrait? (Well actually it was my idea, and she went with it
And then I came across this stock photo on a travel site-
Don’t you just love the way the colors of their shirts stand out against the soft-hued background? After seeing that picture, I thought, “Wow, I need to help my clients see beyond the White and Denim look.”
So how can you and your family get a free beach portrait session with Monica Dyer Photography? Leave a comment on this blog post in which you describe your wardrobe ideas for a family portrait session at the beach. Be creative! Think outside the box! Go beyond White and Denim
If I like your vision and it is something I think would look great on my website, I will photograph you and your family at the beach and give you one 8×10-inch print at absolutely no cost to you! If your family is selected, I will send you an email requesting your phone number, and then I’ll call you to set up the shoot and discuss all the the details. You will be required to sign a model release giving me permission to use your photo on my website, blog, facebook page, and various marketing pieces. I would love to feature four or five styling families on my site, so get your creativity going, and let me hear what you come up with!

Oh! This is so for us! I was just talking to my husband about how I want to do beach photos for Christmas and was saying I would LOVE to do something in lime (or grassy) green and my favorite Greek Blue. I guess you’d call it royal blue. I thought that would be so pretty and bright for Christmas and a departure from white or denim or red, the usual Christmas or Beach look. Plus I just lost 70 lbs and we haven’t done family photos since Rachel was 10 months old. I think we’re long overdue. Please, PICK US!

The beach is our thing and as the boys are getting older it is harder and harder to get everyone together! I would love to do the photo with blue, yellow, purple, orange and green shirts and maybe jeans or white on the bottom. We would be so happy if selected and great promoters for you! The Read Family

I have a young family and have been thinking about getting both a family picture and a picture of my girls. They are 3 and 1 (just turned one- need first birthday pictures too). We have not gotten a family picture since my youngest was 3 weeks old, so it is about time. Anyway, I would love to get the girls in their matching bright pink and green floral dresses (with matching bows) on the beach. I think it would be perfect. The adults would wear shirts to match the girls green and pink dresses.

Very informative for your clients. Love that you are challenging them and offering an incentive at the same time. Great promo. Can’t wait to see the results!
This was an extended family beach portrait session, but in the end, ir was all about the beautiful little girl (aka, granddaughter and niece
I am finally getting around to posting some of the fabulous family portrait sessions I’ve done in the last few weeks. First up, the “S” family hails from the great state of Texas. They were all in Florida to celebrate the youngest daughter’s graduation from FAU. Congratulations, Alicia! More photos of Alicia and her beau will be posted soon!
Meet Shelby, at ten years old, she is surely on her way to great things! She is a natural in front of the camera and has already signed with a modeling agency. Watch out, Naomi Cambell!

I agree. Natural beauty. Nice work.
Although we have had some colder temperatures in South Florida in the last couple of weeks, the beach is still my favorite location for a portrait session. The images here were taken on Boxing Day (that’s December 26th
. Gotta love temperatures in the 60′s when the rest of the country is experiencing blizzards! This was not an engagement session, and the couple are not newly-weds. We decided to call the session a “Celebration of Love.” I like that.
